ärmland
Värmland, or Wermelandia, is a traditional province or landskap in the east of middle Sweden. It borders to Västergötland, Dalsland, Dalarna, Västmanland and Närke. It is also bounded by Norway in the east. There is futhermore a County of Värmland.

The province of Värmland has virtually the same boundaries as the County of Värmland. The main exception is a smaller part to the south east which belongs to the County of Örebro.

Arms granted in 1560, and revised in 1567 to the current one, with later minor revisions. The arms is represented with a dukal coronet. Blazon: "Argent, an Eagle displayed Azure beaked, langued and membered Gules."
