The Independent State of Croatia (Nezavisna Drzava Hrvatska) was formed on Thursday, April 10, 1941 led by Ustasa leader Dr Ante Pavelic[?]. The Ustasa where in charge of the the Independent State of Croatia from 1941-1945, they came into power when Germany invaded Yugoslavia. When the Germans were defeated in World War II the Ustase went underground and continued to fight for Croatia's independence from Yugoslavia.
