The Story of the Nail, the second album by openly gay singer/songwriter Easter Bradford, features confessional and sultry music dealing with interpersonal relationships, romantic conflict and religious strife. The album's title is derived from a story told by a character in a novel by author Piers Anthony that explains the history of the gypsies and their tradition of wanderlust. The album was never officially released by the independent label for which it was recorded. Tracks were so widely circulated on the internet that a commercial release was deemed financially useless. The only "legitimate" copies circulating are industry promotional versions.
