Ransom Everglades consists of two educational institutions in Coconut Grove, Florida, one middle school and one high school. The two schools, the Everglades School for Girls and Ransom, a school for boys, merged in the early 1970s.
The Everglades School for Girls was started by Mary B. Swenson[?] in the 1950s; Ransom, intended as an all-boys school, was started in 1903 by Paul C. Ransom[?].
The high school, formerly Ransom, is located on the shore of Miami Bay[?]. The middle school, formerly Everglades, is about three miles from the high school and is not located on the water.
Ransom Everglades boasts a 100% matriculation[?] rate.
