Promotores Latinos

Promotores Latinos is one of Puerto Ricos top talent agencies, show producers and entertainment representants.

Set up in the middle 1980s by famous actor, show host, comedian and producer Rafo Muniz, who is the son of Puerto Rican acting, comedy and show host legend Tommy Muniz, Promotores Latinos began producing television and concert shows almost inmediately. Most of it's television shows went to WAPA-TV.

In 1989, Promotores Latinos hired former Menudo Xavier Serbia to host a television show named Control Remoto. MTV soon filed a lawsuit against both WAPA-TV and Promotores Latinos, citing that the likeness and name of their own show, Remote Control, was being used without proper consent. The show was promptly cancelled, and the lawsuit dropped.

In 1990, Promotores Latinos helped logistically with the production of Tommy Muniz's Oscar nominated film, Lo Que Le Paso A Santiago[?].

In 2002, international singer Olga Tanon[?], a very important figure in the world of Latin American music, left the company, but her absence was somewhat filled inmediately with the signing of rising singer, Melina León[?] and TV personality, Silverio Pérez[?].

Promotores Latinos has represented a very large number of well known entertainers in Puerto Rico, both local and international.
