MC Solaar
Senegalese hip hop artist MC Solaar is by far the most internationally popular French rapper. He remains best-known for his work on Guru's Jazzamatazz[?] series, which introduced him outside of France.
MC Solaar's first single, "Bouge de La", was a French hit in 1990 (see 1990 in music), as was his first album, Qui Seme le Vent Recolte le Tempo[?]. His second album was Prose Combat[?], which was released in the US. His latest is La Tour de la Question[?] in 1999 (see 1999 in music).
