The Jiujiang Financial and Economic College was given a green light to integrate with several other colleges in Jiujiang[?] under the name Jiujiang Institute in December of 2001. Final approval has not been forthcoming yet because of wrangling between it, the Jiujiang Teacher's College[?] and the Jiujiang Medical College[?]. It is not known when final approval will be given as the inter-campus infighting continues unabated.
