George Seaton

George Seaton (April 17, 1911 - July 28, 1979) was an American playwright, film director and producer.

He was nominated for the 1954 Academy Award for Directing, for The Country Girl. He received the The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 1961.

Born in South Bend, Indiana. He died of cancer in Beverly Hills, California.
