Battus
In Greek mythology, Battus referred to two different people.
- Son of Polymnestus, founded Cyrene, thus fulfilling a prophecy given to his ancestor, Euphemus.
- A shepherd from Pylos, Battus witnessed Hermes stealing Apollo's cattle. Though he promised his silence, he told many others. Hermes turned him to stone.
