Alternative music

Redirected from Alternative rock Originally, the term alternative music was used to differentiate bands outside the mainstream, but it became a category of music all its own during the 1990s. It can also refer the music of indie rock bands. Alternative emphasizes lyrics and guitar, both acoustic and electric.
