Alfred Moisiu
Moisiu was born in Shkoder[?], Albania on December 1, 1929. During 1943-1945 he took part in the War for Albania's Liberation. In 1948 he graduated from the military engineering school in Saint Petersburg later the Academy of Military Engineering[?] in Moscow, where he was awarded the Golden Medal[?].
From 1981 to 1982 and 1994-1997, he was appointed twice as deputy minister of defense. He was the minister of defense of Vilson Ahmeti[?]'s technical government 1991-1992.
In 1994 he founded the Albanian North Atlantic Association[?] and was elected as its president. He knows Russian, Italian and English.
Moisiu sweared on July 24, 2002 as Albanian President for a five-year term.
