Aleph
Aleph, or alef, א, is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
In mathematics, Aleph usually refers to a series of numbers used to represent the cardinality of infinite sets. For example,
- <math>\aleph_0</math> is the number of numbers in the set of rational numbers or integers.
- <math>\aleph_1</math> is the next largest cardinal number after <math>\aleph_0</math>
- <math>\aleph_2</math> is the next largest cardinal number after <math>\aleph_1</math>
and so on...
Aleph is also one of the most advanced systems for inductive logic programming.
Aleph is also the name of a religion in Japan, formerly known as Aum Shinrikyo.
