Afghanistan timeline November 25, 2001 Johnny Spann[?], a CIA officer was killed in a firefight at a fortress in northern Afghanistan. November 20, 2001 Japan pledged logistics support for the U.S.-led anti-terrorism campaign in and around Afghanistan for six months. November 19, 2001 Reuters journalists Harry Burton[?] and Azizullah Haidari[?], Spanish journalist Julio Fuentes[?] and Italian journalist Maria Grazia Il Cutuli[?] were killed by unidentified gunmen at Tangi Abrishum[?], Afghanistan. Suspects of the murder were finally arrested April 21, 2003. They had been traveling as part of an eight-car convoy from Jalalabad.
