Wild TV ratings for Idol

Australian Idol 2 is turning out to be more of a ratings success than its first season, according to the latest Oztam ratings survey.
Even before the high-rating finals have begun, the popular talent quest managed to score top place with the Sunday night Wildcard edition. The verdict show on the following night also managed a top 10 placing.
With the Olympics over, Seven did less well with regular programming. A highlight was the primetime version of Deal Or No Deal scoring over 1.46 million viewers.
But it was Nine who again took top honors with another stunning victory. CSI and National Nine News again attracted massive audiences.
The national top 20 primetime TV shows were:
1 AUSTRALIAN IDOL – WILDCARD, Channel TEN - 1,760,000 viewers
2 NATIONAL NINE NEWS SUNDAY, Channel 9 - 1,707,000 viewers
3 CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION -RPT, Channel EP 1 - 9 1,668,000 viewers
4 LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT RPT, Channel TEN - 1,618,000 viewers
5 SEVEN NEWS - SUN, Channel 7 - 1,584,000 viewers
6 60 MINUTES, Channel 9 - 1,579,000 viewers
7 CSI: MIAMI, Channel 9 - 1,569,000 viewers
8 CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION -RPT EP, Channel 2 - 9 1,542,000 viewers
9 BACKYARD BLITZ, Channel 9 - 1,538,000 viewers
10 AUSTRALIAN IDOL - THE LIVE VERDICT, Channel TEN - 1,531,000 viewers
11 SEVEN'S ATHENS OLYMPICS: CLOSING CEREMONY (R) , Channel 7 - 1,525,000 viewers
