The Block 2 contestants Dani and Monique Bacha have quit the home renovation show just weeks into the filming of the hit series.

It had been revealed that Dani Bacha, an ex-male stripper, was found guilty in 2002 of being an accessory before the fact of manufacturing amphetamines. He spent six months in custody.

Bacha told reporters over the weekend that his family comes first.

“It’s not fair on all of the other couples in The Block. It’s not fair on our families” Bacha explained to the News Ltd papers.

It is believed a second couple who did not make the final 4 couples will be brought in to continue renovating the Bacha apartment.
