Ten nudge Nine in TV ratings

In one of its best ratings results in many years, Channel Ten has sprinted away from Channel Seven and has given Nine a run for its money.

Ten scored big points with both of its big guns firing last week – Big Brother and Australian Idol. It also enjoyed huge audiences for its Law & Order mothership, as well as the two part mini-series Jessica.

The national top 20 TV shows were:

1 NATIONAL NINE NEWS SUNDAY, Channel 9 - 2,132,231 viewers
2 CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, Channel 9 - 2,094,184 viewers
3 AUSTRALIAN IDOL - AUDITION 4, Channel TEN - 1,844,183 viewers
4 LAW AND ORDER: SVU RPT EP 1, Channel TEN - 1,806,007 viewers
5 CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION -RPT, Channel 9 - 1,746,209 viewers
6 AUSTRALIAN IDOL - AUDITION 3, Channel TEN - 1,714,239 viewers
7 THE BLOCK, Channel 9 - 1,703,952 viewers
8 BIG BROTHER - SURPRISE EVICTION, Channel TEN - 1,667,608 viewers
9 60 MINUTES, Channel 9 - 1,635,270 viewers
10 BIG BROTHER LIVE EVICTION, Channel TEN - 1,629,668 viewers
11 JESSICA - PART TWO, Channel TEN - 1,583,160 viewers
12 JESSICA - PART ONE, Channel TEN - 1,569,691 viewers
