Christine Anu: Snap, crackle.. pop?

After less than appealing ratings, Seven’s Popstars Live has been moved to a Saturday night timeslot in a hope to attract the same audience that might otherwise watch American Idol.

The talent quest will be replaced by The World Around Us.

And Popstars Live is now without two of its original judges.

John Paul Young is believed to have been ‘let-go’ from the series this week after the producers decided to beef up the controversy on the ailing talent quest.

Christine Anu decided to walk just moments before the Wednesday night verdict show.

Anu disagreed with the producers after being told to be more critical of the contestants.

It is also rumoured that Anu was ordered to make a statement on the show that she was quitting in a hope to promote even more controversy.

Anu didn’t even turn up.
