Ash and Amanda’s Room Nineteen is Australia’s favourite TV restaurant.

The WA couple took out the 2004 My Restaurant Rules top gong ahead of Melbourne’s Seven Stones.

After four rounds of eliminations, and four months of painstaking work, the Australian public voted Ash and Amanda as the My Restaurant Rules champions.

Both hosted a large results party which included fellow contestants Sam and Catherine from Sydney, and Nick and Emily from Adelaide.

Starting out in the game as the underdogs, Ash and Amanda have walked away with one million Diners Club points, the profit they have earned since opening, and their own multi-million dollar restaurant that is known by diners throughout Australia.

Melbourne's loss was sweetened a little by the news that Peter and Tay have made the highest profit of all the restaurants - a whopping $75,000.
