Socialite and reality TV star Paris Hilton is preparing to sue the publishers of her infamous sex tape, according to reports.
Hilton will sue Kahatani Ltd. for violation of privacy, illegal business practices and infliction of emotional distress.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. Hilton is asking for $15 million in actual damages and $15 million in punitive damages from the Panama-based Internet company.
"Hilton intended the videotape only for personal use and never intended or consented that it be shown to anyone else or distributed to the public," the lawsuit maintains.
At the time of the tape's first release, the mega-rich Hilton family claimed ex-boyfriend Rick Solomon took advantage of the then-teenage Paris. Solomon responded in November by suing Paris and her family for slander.
Hilton’s reality hit, The Simple Life, can be seen on the Seven Network commencing this week.
