Susie Elelman, host of WIN Television’s national daytime variety program SUSIE, today attended The Ceremonial Welcome of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.
In the presence of The Governor General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery, Governor of NSW, Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Premier of NSW, Morris Iemma MP, Susie was one of only a few hundred special guests at the official welcome held today at Governtment House, Sydney.
Susie says she was thrilled to attend the event at the invitation of SUSIE regular, Father Chris Riley founder of Youth Off the Streets.
“It was certainly a privilege to be invited and a once in a life time opportunity that I’ll never forget,” Susie said. “To see his Holiness up close and personal was amazing and I thought it was fascinating to witness the pomp and ceremony.”
