Nine’s schedule in comparison to Seven’s seems a little all over the place. First the network is heavy on repeats – David Attenborough, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, The Mentalist, What’s Good For You, Cold Case @ 9:30pm, Getaway, Rescue: Special Ops, True CSI, Wipeout and Australia’s Funniest Home Video Show.
There are a few series with large episode orders that I doubt will be played out but instead will be yanked about 6 episodes in such as Burying Brian, ER, Flashpoint and CSI: New York.
Like most viewers, I am glad that Survivor: Samoa is being played but I am doubtful they have a plan in place to screen all the episodes. Tuesday nights are a popular night where Nine screen cricket as day/night matches and with just one episode per week (even without cricket pre emptions) they would not get through all the episodes. Hopefully some double episodes will be played.
Some new shows include Crusoe which will screen in double episodes and Rapid Response (which Adelaide viewers have seen some of already).
Nine will also fast track the new season of Cold Case at 8:30pm Wednesdays but before that they will screen a new episode from the season that just aired that was never shown for some reason. It is the only unaired episode from that season.
Notable omissions include Without a Trace, CSI: Miami, any of the Gordan Ramasay shows, Celebrity Singing Bee, Secret Millionaire and Animal Emergency.
