The Power of Love
It's something you can't explain. It's just there, a parent's ferocious instinct to protect their children. We'd do anything at all to keep them from harm. To make them well if they get sick. The worse the illness is, the stronger the parents have to be. And it doesn't get much worse than neuroblastoma. Although you've probably never heard of it, it's the most aggressive cancer a child can have. So naturally, everyone involved needs incredible strength just to get through each day. But in the case of Olivia and Dylan and their families, there's much, much more. A super-human effort to beat this dreadful disease.

Sea of Shame
After this, we bet you think twice next time you're at the supermarket. Next time you start loading your trolley with plastic bags. They might be convenient but wait till you see the havoc they're causing. We’re not exaggerating, the junk we throw away is literally choking the great oceans of the world. Huge stretches of once pristine sea are now just a plastic soup. It's ugly, and it's deadly. Every year plastic pollution kills more than 100,000 marine mammals and there's no improvement in sight. And don't assume for a minute that we humans are immune. Our discarded rubbish is coming back to haunt us.

Mass Celebration
It's been quite a revelation - quite a week. A real pilgrim's progress. We have never seen so much goodwill, so much devotion in the streets of Sydney. Sin City may never be the same again. From the Pope's arrival last weekend to the huge mass at Randwick on Sunday, it's been one big gig after another. Hundreds of thousands of bright-eyed youngsters have made World Youth Day a world-wide hit. Yes, there have been the doomsayers, the protesters and the victims with appalling stories of church abuse and neglect. But you'd have to be a real curmudgeon not to recognise the joy, the spirit, the sheer exuberance of it all.
