According to online news agency RadarOnline, the L.A.F.D announced that paramedics were called to an address in Encino for medical aid. Paramedics arrived at approximately 11.51am and later transported the patient to a nearby hospital.
It is still unclear what the exact cause of the seizure was, but the same agency has reported that Hasselhoff has allegedly been hospitalized up to five times in the past few years for alcohol poisoning.
David Hasselhof is best known for his role as Michael Knight in the popular 1980s series Knight Rider and as L.A. County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the series Baywatch. More recently he has appeared as a judge on America’s Got Talent.
On the home front, a video clip surfaced in 2007 of Hasselhof lying on the floor, drunk, shirtless and eating a hamburger. His daughter Taylor Ann shot the video in a desperate plea to get him help (see below).
We can only hope the Hoff has a speedy recovery this time.
