Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is launching a new talk show starring protégé Nate Berkus, who is currently an interior designer on her own show.
The spin-off will be a daytime show and will be pitched to Sony Pictures Television for distribution.
This isn’t the first spin-off from Oprah’s iconic chat-fest. Dr Phil, Dr Oz and Rachael Ray have all enjoyed popularity as guests on her show.
Berkus has big shoes to fill though. The Dr Oz show was recently the highest rating new syndicated chat show in the United States.
Nate Berkus has been a long time regular on Oprah’s show. As well as offering design advice and setting housewives' hearts alight, he also made an emotional appearance in 2005, after his boyfriend disappeared in the devastating tsunami that hit Sri Lanka in the same year.
The Oprah Winfrey Show and Dr Phil air in Australia on Network Ten.
