My Dad The Crocodile Hunter Author: Nine Network | Aug 24, 2007, 10:31 |
The Nine Network will present the Australian premiere of Bindi Irwin’s first hour-long television program in a special family event on Saturday, September 1 at 7.30pm.
In My Daddy The Crocodile Hunter, nine-year-old Bindi will take viewers on her own very personal and private look at what it was like growing up with her famous dad – The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin.
This special which the entire family can enjoy features rare home movies of Bindi’s early childhood. She also takes viewers behind the scenes on some of Steve Irwin’s most exciting television shows and movies.
Bindi shows us just how her dad taught her everything she needed to know about wildlife and caring for habitat. And in a remarkably moving segment, viewers will join the father and daughter team on Steve’s last crocodile research adventure in August 2006, when Bindi assisted in some of the most amazing crocodile captures and wildlife experiences throughout the Australian outback.
Bindi, who has grown up surrounded by animals, lives on the grounds of the Australia Zoo that Steve founded in Queensland. She is fast following in her mother and father’s footsteps and is already teaching others to respect her animal friends, including Bindi’s favourites, spiders and snakes.
