Movie Network Channels scoops 6 awards at 2007 Promax/BDA Awards
  Author: Movie Network | Jun 18, 2007, 09:14

MOVIE NETWORK CHANNELS has scooped the most PROMAX/BDA awards it’s ever received, at this year’s prestigious 2007 PROMAX/BDA AWARDS.

MOVIE NETWORK CHANNELS, with the help of creative agencies TACTIC and PLASMA, has claimed a fantastic total of 6 awards from the BDA World Gold Awards held last night and the PROMAX World Gold Awards which concluded earlier today, from the Hilton Hotel in New York. The prestigious Awards are part of a three-day annual conference, which this year featured Former President Bill Clinton as a keynote speaker.

The first award claimed was Silver from the BDA World Gold Award category of Art Direction & Design: Image Promo, for “Movies That Matter”. The entry then went on to garner another Silver and a Bronze from the PROMAX Awards – an amazing achievement on a world scale! The promo set the style for the monthly image spots, reflecting the colours and attitude of the MOVIE EXTRA channel, which had undergone a successful re-brand 18 months ago. It was produced by Kim Sawert of MOVIE NETWORK CHANNELS and designed by Nathan Drabsch from TACTIC.

The highest accolade, a Gold Award, which signifies the entry as ranking first in the world, was won at the PROMAX Gold Awards for the music in MNC’s “Control Room” TVC by PLASMA.

Commenting on the awards collected, TACTIC’s Creative Director, Di Constantini, said:

“It’s an enormous honour to have done so well at both the Broadcast Design Awards as well as the Promotions & Marketing Awards, when we were up against every channel and design company from around the world. MOVIE EXTRA a very distinct brand and the “Movies That Matter” Silver and Bronze winning spot further enhances the channel offer...that viewers can “expect more”.”

MOVIE NETWORK CHANNELS’ CEO Tony Forrest said:

“The on-air presentation of our channels is hot. TACTIC has demonstrated their ability to read and embrace the proposition. Our internal promo producers are also hot, in particular Kim Sawert who produced our “Movies that Matter” image spot. We operate in an environment which does not accept mediocrity - we aspire to broadcast excellence and we are delighted with the international recognition”.
