After four months as summer co-host with Karl Stefanovic on TODAY, Sarah Murdoch will vacate the chair on Friday March 30.

She describes her time co-hosting the program as “one of the most exhilarating experiences of my career.”

“I can’t thank the TODAY show enough for giving me this incredible opportunity. Being the first with the news in the morning is an important role and one I have enjoyed immensely,” Murdoch says.

“The team has supported me throughout my time on the show and I thank Karl, Cameron, Kellie, Richard, Steve, executive producer Tom Malone and the entire team for their support. I would also like to make mention of our viewers who have been incredibly encouraging throughout my time on the show.”

Newsreader Kellie Connolly will step into the co-host chair from Monday April 2 until Jessica Rowe returns from maternity leave.
