Channel Nine Melbourne had a strong Thursday night with an all-audience prime-time share of 26.6 per cent, 4.4 points ahead of Seven which finished third with 22.2 per cent. Ten had 31.5 per cent courtesy of The Biggest Loser Finale. Nine Melbourne leads the week (Sunday to Thursday) with a 27.5 per cent share.

In Melbourne, National Nine News and A Current Affair dominated from 6pm beating Seven News and Today Tonight. A Current Affair was Nine’s most watched program for the night locally (418,000) and around the country (1.230 million).

Temptation: Battle of the Footy Codes at 7pm ranked in the Top 10 both nationally (1.050 million – up 13 per cent on last Thursday) and locally (322,000). Tonight sees the first of a double-header final featuring AFL’s Nathan Brown, League’s Mark Gasnier, Union’s Lote Turqiri and Soccer’s Danny Allsopp hitting the buzzer. Playing for home viewers the overall champion will be decided Monday night.

At 7.30pm Getaway secured 283,000 viewers in Melbourne beating Seven’s Air Crash Investigations which ranked third (261,000).

The Footy Show (303,000 viewers) was another local winner easily accounting for Seven’s Amazing Race All Stars and Ten’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Today had another comprehensive Melbourne victory over Seven’s Sunrise averaging 98,000 viewers (up 12 per cent on yesterday’s audience) to Sunrise’s 67,000 viewers.
