2000 December:
Toyota Corolla looks pretty bland
but it is a nice drive, and even in the heat of Alice Springs, say,
the air conditioning works well.
Lots of other people must agree because it has helped Toyota
to total (au) sales of 75,657 vehicles, July to November -
also aided by the end of the pre-GST buyers' strike. |

Toyota's total November sales of 15,160 pipped Holden on 14,850;
3556 Corollas were sold in November.

2000 August:

Bates took a 6 second lead on the first stage of the first heat,
going on to win the heat.
He opened a 14 second lead at the start of the second heat (Sunday),
going on to win it by just 3 seconds. Bourne leads the championship on 136 point and Bates is second with 128 points. However, if they both discard their two worst heats, as under the scoring system, they are level.
