4x4 - admiring the view
at Mana, overlooking Porirua Harbour and
behind the hills out to sea.
Toyota Landcruisers are probably the most popular 4x4 used here in
New Zealand.
We have huge numbers of 4x4 vehicles due to the characteristics
of our terrain, but funnily enough you hardly ever see late model
vehicles out in the rough... more like in the mall carparks.
This one is an 1982
FJ60
- standard features, pwr steering, air con, etc.
no modifications except spring retensions. It runs so well as-is.
Fitted with an LPG alternative fuel kit.

A stock standard Isuzu Bighorn (Holden Jackaroo) 3.1D intercooled of 1994 vintage on a '98 driver training course in Rotorua, NZ and this was one of the obstacles. Even though the tyres were not chunky (Bridgestone AT Duellers), the vehicle handled this and everything else on the day with ease. - Dave Hooton
