Eurotunnel is planning single-deck wagons for tall cars. May 1996: The RACV reports that running a four wheel drive can be almost twice as expensive as running a large sedan. Running a Toyota LandCruiser GXL automatic over 5 years, at 15,000km per year, works out at 90.5c (Aus) per km for the LandCruiser, against 55c per km for a Ford Falcon GLi auto'. The RAVC report also casts doubt on the relative safety of some 4x4s.

The 4-speed kit requires no modifications to the transfer-case mounting or the engine's positioning as the transmission is the same length as the standard item.
