The DUKW is a large six wheel drive (6x6) amphibious landing craft.

The arm, tube and rotating seal on the wheel hub carry air to the tyre (tire) and allow the driver to vary the tyre pressure on the move which is useful for crossing variable terrain (while being shot at). The dashboard carries a dial indicating the correct tyre pressure for sand, coral and mud.
