Four Wheel Drive
British Aerospace Australia (BAeA) is an off-shoot of British Aerospace (UK) which owned Rover Group and hence Land Rover from 1988 until its sale to BMW in 1994. As such, BAeA is connected to the Australian Army's Project Perentie for 1-tonne and 2-tonne capacity vehicles which was won by (the late) Jaguar Rover Australia (JRA) with Land Rover 4x4's and 6x6's, deliveries of which commenced in 1987. BAeA was successful in Project Bushranger Phase 1 with Reconnaissance and Direct Fire Weapons derivatives of the Perentie vehicles (1994-). Project Bushranger Phase 2/3 is to select an Infantry Mobility Vehicle or IMV (~ wheeled armoured personnel carrier). BAeA has submitted the Foxhound IMV 4x4 for this competition.
