This Land-Rover has the rear-mounted belt-drive unit for powering machinery such as saws and threshing machines. A leather belt takes power from the driven pulley to the machine. The unit is driven from a power take-off (PTO) at the rear of the gearbox.

The radiator grille now has holes for the larger headlights on this later 1950 Land-Rover, chassis number 06113353. The new arrangment made cleaning the headlights much easier.
