2001 July: Ford F250 and F350 4x2 and 4x4 trucks are officially imported into Australia again. | |
2001 March: Ford Australia plans to import the F250 and F350 range of 4x2 and 4x4 trucks for sale by mid 2001. The imports will be right drive models built in Brazil; there have been small volume, unofficial imports in recent years, locally converted from LHD to RHD.
The F350 4WD diesel can carry 2500kg. The range will include single, super and crew cabs, 5.4 litre petrol V8 to 7.3 litre intercooled turbo V8 diesel engines, 4x2 and 4x4, manual and automatic transmissions, and XL and XLT levels of trim.
There are no plans to import the F150
because its payload is matched by the existing
Falcon ute.
