I know this was mentioned in the TV Talk Forum, however I thought it best to put the Tour Info for the Split Enz Reunion Tour in here (just seemed sensible, and I hope it is okay to do so):

Source Of Information: Frenz.Com

Split Enz, the group that helped define the course of music in Australia and New Zealand, are reuniting and hitting the road this June for an Australian tour that Frenz fans have only dreamed of.

This June the True Colours lineup (that produced smash hit I Got You) of Tim Finn, Neil Finn, Eddie Rayner, Noel Crombie, Nigel Griggs, and Malcolm Green will bring the inimitable style of Split Enz to arena stages in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

Audiences can expect to be treated to a typically extravagant - full of hits - Split Enz concert but fans should also be prepared for some surprises.

It has also been confirmed that Noel Crombie will once again take up the double mantle of band member and stylist/set designer. So be prepared for some classic Split Enz costumes with a bit of '06 flair and a return of the famous spoons!

Split Enz have defied critics repeatedly, surviving thirteen lineup changes throughout their twelve year career, while securing numerous number one albums and singles in Australia and New Zealand. Canadians embraced them with three number one album spots, while the UK, Holland, Belgium, Israel and Spain all saw the band chart into the Top Ten.

In Australia albums Dizrythmia, Frenzy, Conflicting Emotions and Spellbound all went Gold, while Time & Tide went 2 x Platinum, Corroboree 3 x Platinum and True Colours 5 x Platinum.

Their fans are amongst the most dedicated in the world, with the band's official fanclub, Frenz of the Enz, boasting 15,000 paying members from across the globe. In recent years, the membership has increased notably as younger and younger fans have discovered the timeless appeal of Split Enz's music.

The members of Split Enz frequently referred to Australia as their second home, and there is no doubt that Aussies embraced them in return, according the band a cult status that few other bands can rival. In 1975 the band performed at Ormond Hall as part of Reefer Cabaret. The gig was to be a turning point in the band's career and from there they went on to sell an impressive 1.2 million albums in Australia alone.

The last time Split Enz reunited was to perform at their induction into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in 2005. Prior to that the band performed a one-off concert on New Year's Eve in New Zealand for the Millennium. The June tour of Australia will be their first concert tour of this magnitude since the farewell Enz With A Bang! Tour in 1984.

With one date only per city, tickets to see Split Enz this June aren't expected to last long.

too true !    :D

always loved the Enz, and always will - unique to a tea !

hate people that compare them to crowded house style - it's a totally differant style/sound & era (lol)  .
Enz will always win for me if it had to be such a rediculous competition .

gotta love the people who say " crowded house are pretty good " ..and then ask who the hell is Split Enz !  ::)

keep building that collection up  ;)

I saw that one too Mal!  They absolutely rocked!  Their songs are still fabulous and I still have old posters of them in their earlier days with the weird get up they used to wear!!  My kids think it is hilarious that groups like Split Enz and Skyhooks and Kizz used to dress like that!

lol ...i often get the same comments !   :D

mind you...we look at the situation these days .and well,  :B   -  it really would'nt fit in to their comprehension i'd imagine nowdays (socially as well ) ..unfortunetly  ::)  ( did i just say that ? )  ... seeing how they feel as though EVERYTHING has to be a COOL impression ONLY now days   :P
one thing for sure , back then, it was much more care free and semi, if not completely - non-judgemental (even much more obvious in 70's lol ) , though this 'Expectation' was declining by the late 80's i think.
( just look at 'KISS' or groups as 'visually' mild as 'Mental As Anything" ) ...gawd ! , they'd be booooo'd out of the country these days.

if only these days kid's would at least think about Quality of tune rather than Image these days at least !  ;)

but then , i see it as their loss and our gain if you ask me !  ..if they choose to be ignorant .
as a collector of tunes from quite a few era's -  i perhaps (  :P ) reckon i  have got a pretty half decent idea as to where it all started going downhill    pmsl   :D

btw ..hope your real name was'nt Kate from Glen Iris back in 84/85 ?

i went with a few people (incl) a Kate from Glen Iris   lol    ::)

err, ok ...never mind   :B

Went to the Sydney gig! They were so awsome! I was already in love with them, but now I'm obsessed with them! I have all of their remasters && greatest hits albums. I wasn't alive to see Enz with a bang. I wish i was! I think i was one of the youngest people at their concert. It was funny seeing the oldies getting up and dancing. The only critizim i have is the first part where they came onstage in a silver blanket before peforming Shark Attack. I can just imagine them sitting at a table, discussing how they were going to come on stage, and all laughing at the idea of a silver blanket and saying 'oh yeah, that'll be really funny.' lol.
BTW// How good does Tim look for 54? I hope my husband looks that good when he's Tim's age [when i get married, of course].
