Sadly this will not be an option, web sites cost a lot of money to set up and maintain....nice thought though  

I have webspace but I would have to comb through the TOS to see how restrictive they are and weather its worth it.  I tend to like something that's almost entirely unmoderated and it would give me wood to be the dude hosting it, but I'm not sure it would be worth even reading the TOS (its enonormous) unless there was more interested in a mostly unmoderated board, and also ideally one that took its own direction such that people using it had at least some degree of control regarding the direction a forum took in the way of not only being a community member, but with what was wanted for categories.  This would mean that unlikely as it is, if other people were to sign up from other places the format may take another direction and there may end up being a whole section devoted to something wierd to be discussing often, like mud tyres.

That said, my webhost can be a little slow at times and I think their maintenence slow down coincide with Australian peak hours as its a .com site.  Also, I'd want to use phpBB which is utterly difficult to set up because the number of options are huge and the documentation isn't really there except for google.  On top of that, its entirely bare bones and every tag needs to be set up and defines so you tell it for example that the bold bb tag exists and to look for it: [b] and that it's to be translated into the associated html <b>

It would take:
1-More interest as even half the regulars here would suck and I'm in the middle of another project that I'd need to either put on hold or find more time for.
2-Appropriate TOS with my web host which I'd have to investigate and then decide upon before proceeding.
3-Work on my part, and resulting delay.

It would probably be easier for you to take the initiative use a free solution like Dara does on her forum than to help me feel egotistical glee.  She's using invisionfree.  There are also these if you don't have a web host: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Internet_forum_hosting
I used proboards a while back and it was a nightmare making sure people complied with the proboards TOS which was simply "no file sharing talk, no talking of drinking for minors which meant 21 years old by US law, and no bullying".  Tasman was as involved with it as I was and I think he was as frustrated as I was that our user base often hated us and we couldn't use the forum so much as members anymore.
