Can't wait..... I think it is fabulous that people are becoming more food savvy and better cooks and the fact that children are giving adults a run for the money.... is sensational. |

I don't think 1 hour a week is long enough to really go in depth with these kids and the food they are cooking. |

Quoted Text
An average audience of 2.2 million Australians tuned in to watch last night’s series premiere of Junior MasterChef Australia, helping TEN to a Sunday night prime-time win in all key demographics and total people. Throughout its timeslot, Junior MasterChef Australia easily beat 7’s The X Factor and 9’s 60 Minutes, making it Sunday’s No. 1 show in all key demographics and total people. TEN’s chief programming officer, David Mott, said: “Just when you thought you knew what to expect from the MasterChef franchise, we’ve turned the format on its head. Junior MasterChef Australia will continue to amaze and inspire Australian foodies of all ages and abilities. Impressive culinary talents aside, these kids are just simply a delight to watch.” “We knew there was a big appetite for all things MasterChef. But last night’s brilliant result proves that Australians haven’t had their fill just yet. Judging by these results, Junior MasterChef Australia is shaping up to be the appointment viewing destination for all Australians.” Source: http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/e.....-Viewers-130910.html
Wow 2.2 million. As big an audience as they had in finals week, and it's only the first week. Although I'll expect it to drop to the 1.7 mark next week. |

Fantastic! Loved it, can't wait until next Sunday. I cannot believe how well these kids (all of them) can cook! |

I missed it There's obviously a market for kids here, so why do we have the most pathetic child music scene in the world |

Saffy.... how is it child exploitation? Explain why that is your opinion and I will explain why I think it isn't exploiting children. 1: the children's parent/siblings are there with them 2: this (cooking) is a passion for these children 3: Child Psychologists agree is is not harmful for the children to participate in this 4: it teaches/shows children who are both participating and watching that winning is NOT everything 5: each and every contestant gets the best cookware available... not just the winner. 6: it is showing children and young adults that cooking is fun, enjoyable and at the end of it you get to eat what you have cooked Another question.... have you watched an entire episode of this show? The young fellow who was crying on the promo clips BTW, got through to the next round. He is just an emotional talented little boy. These are the future great chefs of Australia and God Bless them all. |

They'll be fine, they're probably very molly-coddled. Move to Belarus and then see how they go if you're worried about child exploitation And even to them it's not. Thanks, do you really like my sig or was that sarcasm? xD |
