Peekaboo! It's time for the announcement of the eBlah Video Song Contest Grand Finale 2009! In this special edition of the phenomenally niche contest, those who have won at least one of the primary contests throughout the year are eligible for participation as a finalist, and are each entitled to enter one video for every contest that the have won, whereas those who haven't won or participated before may vote as jurors. As the poster indicates, the theme is Celebration, and may be interpreted in any way that our finalists see fit. You may choose a video which celebrates a cultural/religious occasion, one's life, a relationship, a triumphant feat, a political/ideological shift etc. You may submit your videos to Sillygostly by Christmas Day at the latest. Sillygostly and his subsidiary personalities shall not be held accountable if the contest is held sooner than that. The contest will kick off sometime in December with the results released by mid-late January. Due to the expected volume of entries, a voting scheme is yet to be finalised, and a compilation video will be provided to bring peace of mind to those who are bandwidth/time conscious (at the expense of my own ). |

Suit yourself. Considering the number of entries you're allowed to submit, you might as well indulge in a bit of JESC if you so wish. The ghostest with the mostest begrudingly gives you his blessing. |

I find it incredibly unfair that everyone else will have an extra few days to think about their entry before I WIN EVSC 30!!!!
Woohoo!!! I WIN!!! I'd like to thank youtube, Tesla for hosting, everyone who scored me 12 and 10, and 8, the hard work other people put into the video I ripped off and submitted for the comp, Peter Jackson, Woody Alan, George Lucas, and most importantly, I'd like to thank God. Oh yeah and my fans. I'm sorry I didn't mention it as the first thing, but the fans really are what makes my work worth doing. I love you guys. |

, incredible but true, that was one of the themes I was thinking of for the present EVSC edition. First I was thinking about Christmas but consiedered it to be too early and after that I thought "Ancient Customs" or something like that might be more interesting. I even created a logo for that theme. But I like "Celebration" even better than this inicial idea of mine and the logo is so fresh and beatiful ! I also have some ideas what to enter. I just wonder whether I should enter it right now or wait and hope to be able to do it around Christmas. But I have one more question. What happened to the idea to create a Small Finale for those who haven't qualified? Now we have two new members and it seems even more considerable to me than before. |
| Q. What do you serve but never eat?
A. A Tennis ball. |

There's also Matt and Paula, and I'm thinking someone else as well that I'm not remembering at the moment. But don't start the debate |

I don't see the point. The regular finale is going to be crowded enough as it is with most people having won at least one round so far (and Matt'd won three rounds last year so he's really not in a position to complain ). Besides, the Grand Finale has been quite inclusive as anybody is entitled to vote, and everybody has received at least some sort of cheeky mention/appearance throughout the results shows. It is very likely however, that I'll throw in a dishonourable mention segment for our "losers" during the Grand Finale show.
... Wow this is SOOOOOO much better than that awful AWFUL DREADFUL Build-up theme from last year.
How is the new theme any different, really? Build Up was implicitly about the anticipation of an event (with the theme flexible enough to accommodate musical conventions/styles), and the current theme basically revolves around the event itself. With that said, I daresay that next year's theme may already have been decided. |
