I think this year tv hasn't been very good. I'm sure I could find some decent programs, and there's always SBS/ABC which are alright when they have programs about other countries or something like Brat Camp, but ... Nine has nothing to offer, Ten are still f***ing us around (eg House) and have gotten even dumber, and Seven, I just can't be bothered to watch them, although I did watch the Amazing Race for a bit.
But anyway, is anyone else finding tv to be worse lately, or is that just me?

Yes, every year I seem to watch less and less. Though it might not just be the quality of shows on TV, or even the shoddy way channels switch and swap and pull off shows. Its probably more coz I'm on the net too much

I've actually found myself watching more ABC/SBS than ever this year. At least they keep to their schedule and try their hand at fresh Australian/overseas programming.

Lol same tasman, the when I was watching tv now I'm online
I never watched SBS but since I got into Eurovision it grew on me, I'm always too lazy to check the tv guide though so I always miss the interesting shows.

I've wondered the past couple of years if reaching the end of an age demographic, for me, actually had something to do with it... an unwilling statistic... someone falling into the stereotype for whatever reason.

Okay here we go with shameless plugs:
"Go Fringe!  Fringe is fun and the mad scientist is all lovable and... nevermind, I can't really do this that well, but everyone start watching Fringe.  It's probably in the long run going to not really go anywhere, much like Lost ended up doing... fizzling out, but for the moment its still a good show.  So watch it... or I'll beat up someone each and every one of you loves."
At least give it a shot.

I don't even have the time for DVD's. I have DVD's I bought maybe two years ago that I still haven't watched. I must learn how to shut off and relax in front of telly again.

I prefer DVDs to TV most days, but my collection is miniscule, and they won't release Newstopia or subsequent seasons of King of the Hill on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm actually watching more the last few months because of the new stations. Thats not to say there's better programs on though, just more easy to watch 'mind numbing' stuff

The only TV I'm watching nowadays is Ten's Wednesday night animation line-up, The Office (U.S.), and Malcolm in the Middle (which, unfortunately, will be replaced with Neighbours in a week or so ).

Saw one of my favourite Malcolm in the Middle's with the Mum, Dad and 2 elder boys going on a holiday to a water park and the youngest, who I love, staying home being cared for by a wonderful Bea Arthur who, sadly passed away in real life this past year and also died in the episode of MitM! I love that episode, especially when Malcolm tips his mother just a tiny bit and she goes down the giant water tunnel, hilarious.
