I really dislike the fact that every year my mom pays 200 bucks to get school supplies
and get my hair done plus go clothes shopping... what do you think?

I think your mother is nuts to pay all that for hair and clothes and should stop immediately.

I also think this thread is in the wrong place and am moving it.

How interesting... love! Are you bragging or are you ticked off your Mum doesn't spend more?
Wait, don't answer that... because the care factor of your answer is Zero.

Let's start off on the right foot here. You didn't express what you were trying to say in regards to the money your Mum spent. It is a lot of money if you don't have much. Your Mum's choice to spend it on you was her choice. Mum's do that. Mum's are mostly, the most unselfish and giving people on the Earth. As long as you appreciate her and tell her that you do, then you are doing your part as a good daughter! Maybe you can get a part time after school job somwhere to help with the next time she has to buy clothes-books-etc and ease the burden a little. Cheers 'love', SuziH

That's not that much when you add it all together, school supplies can easily reach 100. You could just say you don't want your hair done/ clothes

Edit- the job idea is good, most of me and my friends just buy our clothes ourselves since we earnt money.

I don't think so but it is unofficially since it's so commonly used.

"Earnt is an irregular verb, which is mainly used in British English. It is acceptable in much the same way as learnt and spelt as opposed to learned and spelled are."

""Earnt" is not a real word and grammatically incorrect. "Earn" means "Be Paid" or "deserve" and "earned" is its second form."

also this page discusses it- http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Talk:earnt
