Drama!

Quoted Text
Serbia has lodged a protest over the result of the men's Olympic 100 metres butterfly final, after Milorad Cavic was beaten by just 0.01 seconds by American Michael Phelps.

Phelps's win saw him equal fellow American Mark Spitz's 1972 record of seven gold medals at one Olympics.

Being british why do i keep reading the aussies are fed up that the united kingdom are getting more golds then you aussies.I am happy for once were doing so great can't say much about our football they only just scraped a second goal in the last minute against chzecoslovakia (if you spell it like that) on wednesday night to make it 2-2.Highly paid footballers not doing good while less paid atletes are bringing home the gold and the last time we won a tournament was the world cup in 1966.

Which Aussies are fed up? It's all hype! Everyday Aussies are not fed up! I believe it's a beat up of rivalry. The press , in general are a bunch of idiots who make their own news on bad news days. I love that England has more 'gold' medals than Australia. Who really cares how much gold and medals they take home, except for maybe the USA and China?

I've not read anything about Aussies being fed up...  All I've read is pretty positive about our achievements.  Maybe it is your press that's winding people up?

As an ex-pat Brit, I'm rapt they are doing so well.
