Assuming that 7 will be running the show again this year, does anyone know anything as to who the new host might be?? Maybe the guy who does Weekend Sunrise??

What did we think of the first episode of DWTS for 2008?

Here's what I noticed:
- Mr. McPherson should be renamed fidgity hands.
- Sonia half of the time in the green room looked like Pamela Anderson (mostly in the side shots) without the cleavage.
- Can't believe they got rid of the "Dancing with the stars. dance dance dance." intro and outro's. The new one is a bit lame.
- It looks like the dancing floor has shrunk.
- The actual dancing was okay. GO HENRY, show Channel 7 what dancers from Channel 10 are like!

Favourites atm:
- Toni and Henry
- Red and Ana (wasn't too good last night but I think he will get better)
- Cal and Craig (loved the energy she brought)

I know it's ratings ect ect, but why oh why did 7 elect to put the dancing up against Australian Idol???  Thery  are basicly competing for the same dollar (sms ect), surely it makes sense to wait til Idol is over like they've done previously..

They'd be aiming at different demograqphics and this is what the channels should do COMPETE not just say "oh ten will draw a big crowd with this so lets put another rerun of the vicar of dibly on"!

You reckon??? I along with thousands of others like both shows and with the aid of recording watch them. But I can't afford to sms my favourites from both shows over the same time span

Idol is aimed at teenagers, if you're over 20 and you're watching it then second door on the left is music appreciation class.

DWTS is aimed at housewives, they'll see celebs they know (not necessarily "stars") dressed up, it's light hearted, theirs some bad puns thrown in but nothing to offensive - it's MTV (mum tv).

Well from what I saw Toni was hot, both herself and her dancing skills. Her partner Henry pisses me off though, he's such a camera whore.
