We used to have a desktop wallpaper making contest at another forum I post at, but the thread died a couple years ago. Too bad there aren't enough people here to do something like that, I miss it.
I would like to have a go at something like that...can you give lessons MeanDean?
Ok, I've spammed some people. Apologies to everyone that recieved a message from me and it annoyed them, just trying to get word out about this thread!
Nannyfan I'm assuming you mean like a tutorial on manipulating images? Is this right? I can give you pointers for sure. For starters, if you don't have photoshop you can download GIMP, or some other project. I used to to use it on Windows but it's been a really long time and I don't use Windows anymore. The interface would be the same though, so if you installed it I'm sure I could try to answer questions about it as well as I could, or if you happened to have a program like photoshop then likely someone else would have it as well.
Here's the GIMP for Windows page http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ It's difficult to understand at first, but it gets easier and easier to use. Let me know if you download it and want help on something specifically, like "How do you make the text there and how do you make it sort of transparent, etc.." Or right, off, how do I get both those main windows of the program into one window?
Yeah I spammed um... Suzi and Aquamonkey so far, so everybody else spam... at least Suzi, I have no idea how Aquamonkey would respond to a bombardment.
I think other people are waiting for to see if Paula gets one of these --> before they join because they don't want to feel ripped off.
Lawnbowler, are you up to being spamed yet? I hope you can smile with gratitude when you think "At least I didn't wake up out of an induced coma to see MeanDean standing over me."
I told him that we were a differant breed of dork, and that we're recruiting. I thought it was a good sales pitch.
We still have a bunch of chocolate too. Crap! Now that you made me look I'm going to start eating it.
