The Comedy Festival did really well and apparently (according to CJM43 @ TVAus) it beat Sea Patrol and Desperate Housewives in the 8.30 - 9.30 slot in total people and in the demos.

TEN had a HUGE night last night, winning every slot from 7.30-10.30. Bondi and NCIS are going great guns... I wonder why it has taken BR this long to get such great ratings (must be the new timeslot I guess)?

Thank you God, It Takes Two is failing!!! WOOT!!!

Nine Network press release:

QUOTE
Seven From Seven For Nine
Week 15 saw the Nine Network continue its outstanding 2008 performance with a seventh win out of seven survey weeks for its target demographic, People 25-54, as well as the lucrative People 18-49 demo.

Nine had the top two shows of the week for 25-54s in Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares (895,000) and Kitchen Nightmares USA (869,000). The top ranking programs for People 18-49 and People 16-39 were Kitchen Nightmares USA and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.

The second episode of Ladette to Lady won its timeslot on Tuesday night with another impressive performance in the 25-54 demographic.

Underbelly trounced the opposition in the four markets that it aired. Across the Sydney-Brisbane-Adelaide-Perth aggregate, it secured an impressive 52% commercial share.

As well as People 25-54, Nine continues to lead the 2008 survey year-to-date in the key buying demographics of People 35-64 and People 18-49.

Comparing the 2008 survey year-to-date to last year, Nine has shown gains in every one of its key demographics – 25-54s (9%), 18-49s (12%), GB + Child (4%) and 16-39s (17%). By comparison, Seven has dropped in all of these categories, including a 13% fall for 25-54s; a 15% drop for 18-49s; and a 20% slide for 16-39s.

*All figures quoted are for 5 City Metro Primetime unless otherwise stated

Nine doing well in 2008 at least with viewers under 55.

Quoted Text
The Big Brother launch only attracted an average of 1.511 Million viewers throughout the two hour screening last night. The audience peaked at 1.9 Million viewers.

While it won the time slot in the first half hour, Network Seven’s Border Security easily beat it in their time slot, and ABC’s Australian Story dragged viewers from the broadcast towards the end. In a cruel twist of fate, Australian Story this week focused on the suicide death of Ten newsreader Charmaine Dragun.

Our sources tell us that the producers are quite happy with the result, saying anything above 1.3 Million viewers was a great performance.

I don't believe that's true. So many people that hate BB tuned in this year, no way was it lower than last year, I hate the rating box system.
