Does anyone know what this show's format is going to be about?  The ad doesn't seem very descriptive and Yahoo7 is offering you to call a number if you wish to be in the audience.

It's called "Out of the Question".

It's Out Of The Question for Glenn Robbins
Author: WIN Television | Jan 8, 2008, 12:41

Comedian Glenn Robbins, is to step into the host’s role in a new show for 2008.

Developed and co-produced by Glenn and Jigsaw Entertainment, Out Of The Question will see the talented comic joined by a three celebrity guests each week as they explore what’s happening in the world via their unique perspective. No subject is off limits.

“I’ve worked on so many shows with my mates I thought it was about time I threw down my own picnic rug for them to come and play on” Glenn said.

Out of the Question is a quiz that’s a little loose around the edges. Glenn will take his guests down a line of topical questions and conversation that is revealing, humorous and informative.

“Hopefully I’ll get more than just the answers out of them” he said.

Out of the Question will be produced at Seven's state-of-the-art digital studio located in Melbourne's Docklands precinct.

Robbins heads up new comedy
December 30, 2007 12:00am

HE'S played Australia's favourite doddery uncle, a dangerously inept Dundee-style outback adventurer and a purveyor of fine sausages on top-rating Kath and Kim.

Now, for his latest challenge, comic Glenn Robbins is having a crack at hosting his own quiz show.

Robbins has left Channel Ten for the Seven Network to make a new, irreverent - and possibly irrelevant - quiz/chat show, called Out of the Question.

The talented comedian will be joined by three celebrity guests each week to explore world events - and whatever else comes up - from a unique perspective.

"I've worked on so many shows with my mates, I thought it was about time I threw down my own picnic rug for them to come and play on," said Robbins, a foundation member of Ten's The Panel.

Robbins, a much-loved mirth-maker whose pedigree stretches back to The Comedy Company - the home of his Uncle Arthur - describes Out of the Question as a quiz show that's "a little loose around the edges".

Developed and co-produced by Robbins and Jigsaw Entertainment, the show involves him taking his guests down a line of topical questions that will be "revealing, humorous and informative".

"Hopefully, I'll get more than just the answers out of them," he said.

Robbins revealed that, sadly, Seven had rejected his offer of using Uncle Arthur in the new line-up. Nor should you expect to see Russell Coight, of All Aussie Adventures fame.

*yawn* Sounds pretty lame. Sounds like the sort of show that Channel Ten typically knocks up.

Sounds like they are copying another Bill Maher format... it's not the first time for working dog to borrow some of his ideas for a program

American tv host and very funny guy. As for this show I'm a fan of Robbins so will definately watch. Looks like it could be either very funny or downright cringeworthy !

As far as TV hosts and comedians go, funny and American in the same sentence are (for me) an oxymoron.

But as I've never heard of or watched him, I'll take your word for it.

How many bites of the cherry does Glenn Robbins get? Sheesh. The only thing I have ever enjoyed this 'bloke' in is 'Kath and Kim' and even then he is a wanker (playing a wanker). IMHO

Quoted from fajo

& as far as I am concerned... he can have as many cherries as he wants

Everything he does is different to the previous incarnation, so at least he is trying

Look at Mr Daryl somers... he brings exactly the same thing to everything he does

I am a huge fan of Glen's... I am currently re-watching him as Russell & every time you watch it, you pick up something new... some little nuance...

See, I have a problem with how he looks (plus I hate it when people act like Aussie yobos). A few years back when Kath and Kim first came on TV my daughter Kat's then partner observed that Kel (or more to the point Glenn Robbins) looks like Kat's father (my first husband) and he DOES! Oh My God, so every time I look at Glenn Robbins I see Kat's Dad!

I like Glenn , and I think he can be very funny , Uncle Arthur is wonderful, and we all love Kel , I think you will find that Brett was more the Aussie yobbo then Kel

I was in fact referring to Glenn's Russel of the Great Aussie Adventures where he was an Aussie Yobo IMHO. I don't think Kel is an Aussie Yobo at all.
He is a very personable man with a kind face but too close to home for me
