Not sure if I'll watch this year, due to grade 12 and all, but I'll probably succumb Anyway I've started noticing ads for TBL, I've seen 2 twins and some guy so far. I wonder when it's starting.

I'm guessing either the 3rd or 10th Feb. I can't wait, the Aussie version is always so much better than the US version and I find it kind of addictive .

I loved the US BL that ended a week ago. I knew who had won both catagories but it was still great to watch, especially the finale.

I don't know if I'll bother with the Aussie version this year, seeing as how awful the previous season was.

I love The Biggest Loser, will definitely watch this year.

I didnt watch much of it tonight but when I finally turned on I saw a familiar face. I dont know her namebut she was in the year a head of me at my high school. She is the 20 year old with short, spiky, dyed
hair. Oh, and if it wasnt already obvious she is a lesbian, atleast that was the rumour at school which
doesnt really seem far from the truth. I can remember seeing her at the shopping centre (with what
appeared to be her girlfriend) a few months ago too, someone like her does kind of stand out and I dont mean that in a nasty way. ........you just cant help but look

Anyway good luck to her, but the whole show seems pretty similar to previous seasons and I also noticedall the look alikes in the "new" bunch of "losers".

I enjoyed it... looking forward to see how Bob and Jillian are involved... and its the best thing on in its timeslot IMO.

I got caught up in the emotions of The Zoo and the medical show that followed it and completely forgot to watch ABL, whahhhh! Shannan's name is spelled different Dara but is still spelled correctly. Like Steven or Stephen Will watch it tonight though

I think Rachel is a nasty piece of work.   I watched the weigh in last night and was not overly impressed but then again we haven't gotten to really know them, yet!
My son was heavier than the 19 year old on there at that age and lost over 70kg of his own accord over a period of 18 months. He got to around 90-95kg.
I like the men, so lovable the Dad who cried talking about not being with his daughter for the birth of her child, his grandchild. He brought me to tears and a few of the other 'losers' as well. The heaviest guy is 34 stone (in the old money) 206kg I think they said, OMG that is enormous. They will all be so gorgeous to look at when they lose weight, although I don't think Rachel will ever be able to be called gorgeous. When she said regarding her girlfriend, "I am twice her weight, it's a wonder I don't squish her!" it put a mental image in my head that I cannot erase

Haha yes, like I said I did see Rachel with what appeared her girlfriend, (now I know it was), and I was thinking what is a girl like her doing with a erm......girl like you! You may be surprised but Rachel was actually with the cooler groups at school, but she does seem to have a really bad attitude, probably wont make it very far with that approach.

I believe Rachel has a personality that Dr.Phil would call, 'Get them before they get you'. She is very aggressive to look at and in her body language. She will not last long in the BL house with a bad attitude Only 2 hours to go before it begins properly here.

I was on the phone the entire time it was on (some people ring up at the most inopportune times) and the TV was on mute. Which guy was it causing arguments? I loved watching the guys outside running and almost expiring and how Shannan obviously was full of encouragement for them. How did the people who are in the U.S. 'get there'? How did the Commando choose them and how many went? Please someone fill in the blanks for me so I know what I am up to tonight

SuziH, the Commando chose the final four pretty much the same way as Shannan and Michelle chose the first lot - drilled them all and then tapped them on the shoulder.

The final four were then escorted to an aircraft shelter where they were told by Bob and Jillian via satellite that they were to be transported secretly to LA to train with them. They got one phone call to tell their loved ones what was happening (which was pretty emotional stuff) and then jumped on the plane and off they flew! Next thing we saw them in a Limo in LA being transported to the main BL Campus where B&J greeted them.

Another development was that of John (the guy with the silver hair and beard). He was deemed too risky to train and was disqualified from winning any money in the competition, but would be put on a special training program and participate in all other aspects of the game. I'm not sure how this really works as alot of the game is won on pure physical activity. Anyway, he has a phone call from someone tonight that sounds pretty dramatic.

I think it's really good they are choosing people like that John guy, like it isn't all about the money, he can be there and train and lose some weight, just obviously not as much as everyone else, but he still gets the chance.

Monica, the 20 year old with glasses left. They gave us an update on her and she has lost 17.5kg since leaving the White House.

Found out from reading the Sunshine Coast Daily website today that John is from the Sunny Coast

Monica has done really, really well to lose 17kg -  no easy feat believe me! Good on her.

Who else here as a suspicion that The Commando is training the last of those contestants who he supposedly told had come to the end of the line. Anyone with a theory on what The Commando is up to as we speak? I really love the introduction of the Commando sub-plot that was introduced last year.

At least she made the right choice in getting rid of Monica.  I would have picked her to go as well.

I nearly thought Kirsten would fall on her own sword and picked herself to go - it would have been a heart breaking decision when both of those two were so emotional.
