Lol I'm a person who likes to see the result and THEN see how the result comes to pass lol.

I'm with maf-you on this!
I have watched several seasons of The Amazing race knowing full well the winners but still watch it avidly each week to see how it became that 'they' were the winners!

Tonight's Grand Final.....
I'll hazard a guess that Sam wins OR one of the girls
Or maybe I could say 'a blue team member'
hehehehh.
BTW DARA, you're mean

Lol well I don't want to tell you incase it's all wrong and then I look stupid
I could post who EVERYONE is saying wins, but I don't know if it's right.
Well highlight this then: Apparently Alison wins. And they filmed 3 different endings so no one actually knows who wins. So, both those things are being said everywhere, but they kind of contradict each other. But yeah. Alison probably does. -->

I'd like that person to win. They could do so much with that money!
I know the other's could too but circumstances and ages are different for all of them and the person you mention Dara is my hope to win the crown!

WOOOO GO SAM! *wolf whistles* sexy alison lol. They all did VERY well.

At Cosi gaining weight... Amber had to put on an extra 8 kilos for nothing! (a little Adelaide joke for those that listen to SAFM)

Could Peter File please make his way to the EVSC Thread, check out the entries, and then give 12, 10, and 8 points to my entries!

They will all be so gorgeous to look at when they lose weight, although I don't think Rachel will ever be able to be called gorgeous.

Must say she almost did look gorgeous, especially with the new hair do and the lack of facial piercing jewelery. Imagine Allison wearing a size 10!! The final three were so close! Congratulations Sam! I would like the way Sam looked more if his face was just a tiny tad fuller How luscious was Sean? (from a woman's point of view) recognised his voice but hardly recognised HIM!
Just like Big Wal from the first series. Just knew underneath all that fat was a gorgeous man dying to emerge!
John looks great and years younger also.
I am starting my regular walks beginning tomorrow! If John can do it that way, so can I. If Sean can be free of diabetes so can I. My Blood Pressure needs to come down a tad as well, might as well do it for that too. I'll start/begin with 20 minutes brisk walking and progress from there. It inspires me to see people do what they did. I am sure Sam's family have level heads and will advise him on how to use his money wisely

Sam wins Biggest Loser and gets a"new life"
May 2, 2008

University student Sam Rouen has shed more than 71kg to be crowned the Biggest Loser and become the reality TV show's youngest ever winner.

Rouen slimmed down from 154.8kg to 82.9kg to narrowly edge out the favourite, 34-year-old mother of three Alison Braun, to win the third series of the Network Ten program.

West Australian Braun shed 55.2kg over the six month period for a final weight of 66.6kg.

With the winner chosen by the percentage weight loss of their original body weight, just one per cent separated the two.

The third finalist, Kirsten Binnie, lost almost 55kg - or about 30 per cent of her original body weight.

The Australian show's youngest ever contestant, Rouen, now 20, from Campbelltown in Sydney, said he was shocked to beat Braun.

"I sort of wanted to be confident and knew that I'd worked hard, but it was still a shock standing up there and seeing some of the girls," Rouen told AAP.

"And it's pretty daunting to know that to win you've got to lose over 70 kg and then to get up there and to make it was amazing."

Rouen picks up $200,000 as part of the winner's prize and said he plans to save the money.

He wants to concentrate on his sports management course at university and says he will even keep his job at the local video store.

"I want to wait until I have the maturity to decide, but probably set myself up and use it for a (house) deposit," he said.

Despite his new slim look, Rouen said he still felt fat on the inside and was nervous about getting a lot of attention.

But he was also looking forward to not feeling caged, and to looking for a girl "down the track".

"A lot of people on the show had esteem problems and confidence issues and when you go out you feel like people are always looking at you," he said.

"Now when you win the title, it's a bit daunting that you know people are going to recognise you, but I guess it's sort of more a positive light now."

Rouen said he knew he might put a little bit more weight on, but pledged not to let it get out of control.

"It was sad I was living that life when I didn't have to be," he said.

"I'm enjoying this size too much to let this size go to waste."

His father Terry, meanwhile, said he was proud of his son whatever his weight, but added: "He has been given a new life".

Congrats to Sammy. Very happy to see him win.

Most contestants looked good and are a credit to getting themselves back on track.

Was anyone else dissapointed with the "World First," I was expecting some huge twist to do with next years season or something. But no, it was a big scale, how exciting.
