Out of those I've only ever seen Goodfellas, and that movie dragged out 30 minutes too long.

Interview with the Vampire should be on the list.  It's my favourite vampire movie.

We are what we repeatedly do.  Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

Maybe you need to extend the list because a lot of my favourites are not on list. For me Pulp Fiction was the turning point in movies I remember and watch over and over.

That was a really weird selection of movies, not to mention 3 of them have Leonardo Dicaprio in them. I voted none.

Descriptions : Danny and Wheeler are two salesmen who trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 service hours with a mentorship program. After one day with the kids, however, jail doesn't look half bad. Surrounded by annoying do-gooders, Danny struggles with his every neurotic impulse to guide Augie through the trials of becoming a man. Unfortunately, the guy just dumped by his girlfriend has only sarcasm to offer a bashful 16-year-old obsessed with medieval role play. Meanwhile, charming Wheeler tries to trade in an addiction to partying and women to assist a fifth-grader named Ronnie in redirecting his foul-mouthed ways. It would probably help if Ronnie's new mentor wasn't an overgrown adolescent whose idea of quality time includes keggers in Venice Beach. Once the center's ex-con director gives them an ultimatum, Danny and Wheeler are forced to tailor their brand of immature wisdom to their charges. And if they can just make it through probation without getting thrown in jail, the world's worst role models will prove that, sometimes, it takes a village idiot to raise a child.

Changeling

Starring: Angelina Jolie, Amy Ryan, John Malkovich, Jeffrey Donovan, Riki Lindhome
Genre :  Crime, Drama, Mystery, Western
Quality : Blu-ray
Discs : 1
Original Year  : 3
Release Date  : 2009-04-10
Language : Cantonese, English, French, Mandarin
Subtitle : Chinese, English, French

Descriptions : Clint Eastwood’s mastery as a director, established over the past decade and a half with Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, Letters from Iwo Jima, and others, continues with Changeling, a 2008 offering based on a shocking but all-too-true story about child abduction and police corruption in 1920s Los Angeles. Single mother Christine Collins (Angelina Jolie, excellent in a role with somewhat limited parameters) finds her 9-year-old son, Walter, missing when she returns home from work one day. She files a report with the Los Angeles Police Department, an outfit that was wildly unpopular at the time (in his regular radio broadcast, a crusading pastor played by John Malkovich decries the force as "violent and corrupt," adding that "our protectors are our brutalizers"). When a child roughly matching Walter’s description turns up in Illinois five months later, the LAPD, intent on salvaging its tattered reputation, is only too eager to claim that he is Collins’ missing child. Little matters that he’s three inches shorter, is circumcised (Walter wasn’t), and fails to pass muster with Walter’s dentist, schoolteacher, and others; the cops, in particular the odious Captain J.J. Jones (Jeffrey Donovan), insist that the mistake is Christine’s, not theirs. What follows is almost too nightmarish to believe--except that it actually happened. Exasperated by Collins’ continued claim that "Walter" is a fraud, they trot out a doctor to reinforce the bogus ID, declare her unfit as a mother, and finally have her committed to a local psychopathic ward. Through it all, Collins, bolstered by the pastor and thousands of outraged Angelenos, refuses to sign a document that would exonerate the police for their egregious error. As for Walter, it’s only when the LAPD’s seemingly only honest detective (Michael Kelly) takes matters into his own hands that the grisly mystery of the child’s fate begins to be solved. That would have been a good place for the film to conclude, too. Unfortunately, it goes on for more than another half hour, with innumerable false endings that add nothing to the story and could just as easily have been summarized with a few sentences before the final credits. That flaw aside (and it’s a major one), Changeling is a powerful film, with a realistic period feel, a wonderfully muted vibe and color palette, and an understated score by Eastwood himself.

Body Of Lies

Starring : Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Mark Strong, Golshifte Farahani
Genre :  Action, Drama, Thriller, Western
Quality : Blu-ray
Discs : 1
Original Year  : 3
Release Date  : 2009-04-10
Language : Cantonese, English, French, Mandarin
Subtitle : Chinese, English, French

Descriptions : Set it next to the similar Middle-East intrigue of Syriana, and Body of Lies is easy to follow--in fact, this movie's plot is amazingly straightforward for an espionage picture. Leonardo DiCaprio is the CIA agent on the ground, an Arabic-speaking chameleon who believes in forging personal relationships based on trust and professionalism. Russell Crowe is his supervisor, a meddler who makes up the rules as he goes along and is more than willing to trade long-term benefits for a short-term "win." (One of these characters is surely intended to represent the foreign policy style of the Bush administration in the first decade of the 21st century; take a guess which one.) While working on a case in Jordan, DiCaprio gets a modest flirtation going with a nurse (Golshifteh Farahani), although his most intense relationship is with a Jordanian intelligence chief (great role for Mark Strong) who takes a wary view of the CIA's activities. Ridley Scott directs as though weary of all the fuss, and his merriment in Crowe's breezy sociopath gives the movie a rather strange aftertaste. It gets the job done, although after it's over you might find yourself craving the head-scratching complications of Syriana.

The Midnight Meat Train

Code:  DUAL LAYER
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Vinnie Jones, Leslie Bibb, Brooke Shields, Peter Jacobson
Genre :  Horror, Suspense, Thriller, Western
Quality : Blu-ray
Discs : 1
Original Year  : 7
Release Date  : 2009-04-12
Language : Cantonese, English, French, Mandarin
Subtitle : Chinese, English, French

Descriptions : When Leon Kaufman's latest body of work--a collection of provocative, nighttime studies of the city and its inhabitants--earns the struggling photographer interest from prominent art gallerist Susan Hoff, she propels him to get grittier and show the darker side of humanity for his upcoming debut at her downtown art space. Believing he's finally on track for success, Leon's obsessive pursuit of dark subject matter leads him into the path of a serial killer, Mahogany, the subway murderer who stalks late-night commuters--ultimately butchering them in the most gruesome ways imaginable. With his concerned girlfriend Maya fearing for his life, Leon's relentless fascination with Mahogany lures him further and further into the bowels of the subways and ultimately into an abyss of pure evil--inadvertently pulling Maya right along with him.

Mirrors (Unrated)

Starring: Kiefer Sutherland, Paula Patton, Amy Smart, Mary Beth Peil, Cameron Boyce

Soon after he begins his job, Ben is haunted by horrific visions in the large mirrors of the store at night. These entities begin to pursue him and his family, watching them through all reflective surfaces Ben's family is near. In a desperate race to save himself and his estranged family from harm, Ben attempts to unveil the sordid story that these spirits want him to bring to light, before it is too late!

Sex and The City

Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Christopher Noth
Genre :  Comedy, Drama, Romance, Western
Quality : Blu-ray
Discs : 1
Original Year  : 11
Release Date  : 2009-04-09
Language : Cantonese, English, French, Mandarin
Subtitle : Chinese, English, French

Descriptions : After moving in together in an impossibly beautiful New York apartment, Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big make a rather arbitrary decision to get married. The wedding itself proves to be anything but a hasty affair, the guest list quickly blooms from 75 to 200 guests, and Carrie's simple, label-less wedding gown gives way to an enormous creation that makes her look like a gigantic cream puff. An upcoming photo spread in Vogue puts the event, which will take place at the New York Public Library, squarely in the public eye.

Meanwhile, Carrie's girlfriends Samantha, the sexpot Charlotte, the sweet Na?f and Miranda, the rigid perfectionist, could not be happier. At least, they couldn't be happier for Carrie. Charlotte still has the unrealized hope of getting pregnant. Samantha is finding a loving, committed relationship more grueling than she could have imagined. Miranda unwittingly lets her own unhappiness, created when Steve admits to cheating on her just once, spoil Carrie's. After a heated encounter with Steve, she happens to spot Mr Big and tells him he's crazy to get married. She's really only thinking of her own marriage. But her angry remark gets Mr Big to thinking!
