Gee, how annoying is poor Princess Mary is at the moment in Tassie with all the media all over her like a rash.

The media get so hyped up with what Mary is doing. Like the media today, their news headlines for tomorrow will be "Princess Mary goes shopping".

Gee, I hate how the media says everyday, "Princess Mary <insert whatever here>"

What's the next few days? Princess Mary goes to the loo? Princess Mary say "whoopsy"? Princess Mary becomes VB's a new "Talking Mary" figurine? Princess Mary changes a lightbulb?

ENOUGH PRINCESS MARY YADAYADAYADA, MEDIA !!

I agree that there should be some mention her on the news but I fail to see why it would be one of the lead stories.

While I think she's all wonderful and whatever, I still don't think this should be the headline of the news bulletins. I preferred what I saw last night, it was the last story before the last ad break if I remember correctly.

I have only seen good stuff and choose not to pay attention to the whinging press. Good on Fredrick for telling the media to please give them some peace on their break. Little Prince Christian is gorgeous! Princess Mary is the 'best thing' to come out of Australia for a very very long time. What a wonderfully naturally beautiful woman, inside and out.

I don't see why the media makes such a fuss about Princess Mary, but I suppose the same can be said about Diana. Both are very influential figures, and I suppose we can't fight what the media finds "interesting" or worthy of publication.

I do wish they would get off their backs and at least let them enjoy their vacation here.

New do Mary's crowning glory
The Mercury
January 29, 2007 12:00am

IT was not Princess Mary's baby bump people were peering at at the Museum of Copenhagen on Friday.

The Danish Crown Princess was sporting a new hairdo -- a bob-style reminiscent of Joanne Lees circa 2001 perhaps, or a fuller version of Victoria Beckham's new do.

The Princess unveiled her new look -- described by Danish royal watchers as a 1960s hairstyle -- at a Children's Aid Foundation event in Copenhagen.

Certainly old-fashioned and a little harder than the trendy Princess's former look, the new do has had royal watchers in a flurry, comparing her to other celebrities and trying to decide if the look has a long-term future.

Many love it, describing it as "chic", "sophisticated" and "long overdue". One said the Princess now looked like Catherine Zeta-Jones in Oceans 12.

But they were also despairing that Princess Mary would no longer be able to wear her hair up or wear tiaras.

And many agree the style ages her, though some say this suits her role as the future Queen of Denmark.

The new look was unveiled as popular Danish weekly magazine Se Og Hoer reported Princess Mary was worth almost $15 billion to Denmark. The magazine got the figure from image researcher and government adviser Simon Anholt.

"Every time Mary walks down the red carpet, she makes money for the designer of the dress, of the shoes, and of the jewellery, of the event itself, the people behind the event, and not least, the participating press," the article read.

"Tourism benefits from the monarchy in general and from Mary in particular, in the end, Mary helps making Denmark famous around the world . . . everybody makes money when she is around."

PUTTING the hair into the heir to the throne, Aussie royal Crown Princess Mary stepped out in style in Copenhagen yesterday, unveiling a new chop at a children's charity event in Copenhagen.

The shoulder-length 'pob' – a longer version of the popular 'bob' – has taken years off the young mum, who also revealed her growing baby bump in a chic pink sheath dress.

Her new crop will no doubt go to the top of the list of must-have celebrity locks looks in Denmark, where last week she was crowned as having more value to the local economy than the country's entire dairy industry in terms of branding value, estimating her worth at a staggering $15 billion.

Princess Mary joins army

Jan 21, 2008, 13:30 GMT

Denmark's Crown Princess Mary has joined the army.

The princess - who has two children Christian, two, and nine-month-old Isabella with husband Crown Prince Frederik - has enrolled as an unpaid volunteer of the Danish Home Guard.

Chief of the Home Guard, Mayor General Jan S. Norgaard, said: "Crown Princess Mary's membership is a pat on the shoulder for the many volunteers.

"It is a significant sign of the Home Guard's meaningful role in the community and the Danish people's belief in its ability."

Mary, 35, will be taught first aid, how to handle and fire a weapon, marching drills, signal training, fire-fighting and rescue skills at Christiansminde's Home Guard training centre.

When the Tasmanian-born princess finishes her training she will be attached to the Home Guard 'total defence' region in Copenhagen.

Mary's husband Prince Frederik, 39, has also trained with the army, as well as the navy and the air force, and remains active in Denmark's defence force.

Frederik's mother, Queen Margrethe, was a major in the Home Guard Women's Flying Corps and his aunt Princess Benedikte received a service medal for her work in the Home Guard's Navy.

All members of the Danish army are unpaid volunteers.

Princess Mary pregnant with twins

Denmark's Crown Princess Mary is pregnant with twins, the palace announced on Friday.

The Danish royal court said in a statement the 38-year-old princess, who was born and raised in Hobart, is due in January.

She is expected to give birth at Rigshospitalet - the national hospital - in Copenhagen.

The announcement follows weeks of intense media speculation that the princess is pregnant.

Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik already have two children, four-year old son Christian and three-year-old daughter, Isabella.

The twins will be fourth and fifth in the line of succession after their father and two older siblings.

Frederik is son and heir to the throne of Queen Margrethe II who has reigned since 1972.

He married Mary, a commoner, in 2004 after they met in a pub during the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney where she worked as sales director with a real estate agency.

That's awesome, twins are so cool Hopefully it's two twin princesses
There are royal twin princes in Belgium, Nicolas and Emeric born in 2006. Their father attended the Junior Eurovision in 2005.

With 2 dark haired parents they won't be cute blonds like the Dutch princesses
